It’s really hard to say goodbye to Tasha. We had a fabulous
week cruising with her, but it all went by so quickly. Yesterday we finished up
boat jobs at Nanny Cay, Tortola, filled
our water tanks, and headed south to St Thomas, USVI. The weather was
beautiful, some of the clearest skies we have seen whilst here in the islands.
We sailed down wind, wing-on-wing at times but eventually had to admit that we
needed to motor in order to arrive in time. As it turned out we got to
Charlotte Amalie around 2.15 pm and made it to customs and immigration office
with just 20 minutes to spare. Once cleared in we had a relaxing afternoon and
evening and this morning were up at dawn to get Tasha to shore to meet the taxi
to the airport.
Once we are squared away, we will head out on the passage to
the south east with St Martin, St Barts or St Kitts as possible destinations.
We expect the journey to take about 24 hours and the weather forecast seems
reasonable. We’ll post again when we can !
