Recipe for a great day ... April 6th

Recipe for a great day—April 6th

1 measure Leisurely breakfast
1 heaping spoon Dinghy trip around Green Island
1 jigger Snorkeling near the reef
1 plate Lazy lunch
1 scant spoon Attempted Walk on shore—no paths that lead to the next beach
1 cup of swim and shower
1 alcoholic beverage of choice
2 heaping helpings Dinner

What more could you hope for from a day.  The area around Green Island has the beautiful variety of colors of water, typical of the areas around reef.  Our dinghy trip revealed a large mooring field with plenty of boats.  Beyond the mooring field lay a large expanse of reef, reminiscent of the Tobago Cays. Some of the isolated coral heads were quite attractive but large portions were broken or covered with sand and quite bleached.  Overall, we thought that the snorkeling near our boat was superior.

We ate our lunch with visitations from a bananaquit that had obviously been fed before. Between the bird fly-bys, we kept an eye out for turtles that would surface for air from time to time.
A haze of inactivity fell over me after lunch.  Mike, on the other hand, opened the mail parcels that Bridget had brought and started pulling together the documents for the taxes.  This revealed a cloud on the horizon, no W-2s from Framingham State University (or more accurately from the state of Mass.)!  Many frantic phone calls finally located a person in the office who told us where to go on line to find these.  She gave us the account names and reset the passwords so that we could get in and find our salary information.

A lazy swim followed by shower, ‘sundowner’ cocktails and then dinner rounded out a pretty terrific day.

Note added Monday 9th ... Unfortunately the web site access to our W2 forms didn't work as hoped, perhaps due to poor WiFi or blockers on our laptops. However, as of Monday morning the problem is solved! Many thanks to Kerry at FSU for sending us copies of the information.
